AMC Barrywoods 24 Turned 15!
Movie News

I saw Titanic opening night at AMC Barrywoods 24 back in December of 1997.  The theater was packed!  Concessions were only 50 cents!  Who would have ever thought the film that opened this theater would go on to be one of the highest grossing films of all time!
You know what would be a great idea, was if AMC Barrywoods 24 shared their 15-Year Anniversary with the re-releasing of Titanic (1997) in April 2012 in honor of the 100-Year Anniversary of it's sinking?  I think that would be awesome!  Let's see if our friends at AMC agree?
Lets put Kansas City, MO, (AMC's current headquarters), on the map with this awesome anniversary celebration idea!

From Jordan Laine (Official Rep for AMC) on 01/10/12:
Hi Nickel, thank you for posting this idea. We typically prefer to do promotions that can be utilized across our entire circuit versus individual theatre promotions. That said, I'm happy to forward your suggestion to the appropriate people at AMC.

Nickel Reviews Response on 01/10/12:
Hi Jordan,
My name is Adam actually, but my website is Nickel Reviews. Thank you for your response. You mentioned in your reply that AMC prefers to do promotions across the entire circuit versus individual theaters? If that is the case, why does AMC Studio 30 get a majority of the "Advanced Screenings" and Barrywoods only gets a few? For years I've attended advanced screenings as a guest of The Pitch, Kansas City Star, etc, and although Barrywoods does get a few screenings, Studio 30 gets the vast majority. I know it is bigger, and has the Fork & Screen, but Barrywoods is very nice as well. I just figured this would be something nice to do for the people that live up north for a change and for the theater's 15th Anniversary.

I guess we'll see what happens next...
