Adam "MCA" Yauch, bass guitarist and vocalist for the group Beastie Boys has died at the age of 47 after a long fight with Cancer. The Beastie Boys, who were best known for their hits: Fight for Your Right, Sabotage, Intergalactic, No Sleep Till Brooklyn, Brass Monkey, and So What'cha Want, busted on to the Rap/Hip-Hop scene in 1979 and have enjoyed much success and critical acclaim over the past 25 years since the release of their debut album. The group was recently selected as part of the 2012 induction class into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. MCA directed many of the Beastie Boys music videos, (several that went on to win MTV Video Music Awards). In addition, the group has won 3 Grammy Awards and has had 4 albums reach the top of the Billboard album charts. Like many others, we at Nickel Reviews grew up jamming to your music. We heard it at school, dances, clubs, at parties, in our cars and at home. Our condolences go out to your family, your band, and your many fans around the globe!
